Gloucester Main Street Village is a tour de force of shopping, dining, culture and history. With roots in colonial America — Revolutionary War patriots mustered on the steps of the circa 1766 Colonial Courthouse that’s still in use right on Main Street — come experience Virginia’s oldest living village. 2. Wine Walk
The Gloucester Main Street Association’s Award-Winning Wine Walk returns on Thursday, June 22nd from 4-8PM. Downtown merchants open their shops as “tasting rooms” where you can sip and savor great wines. Restaurants will also offer fantastic dinner specials. Tickets are $30 in advance and include event map, souvenir logo glass and tastings. Sample 14 unique wines from around the world including whites, reds, sparkling and more! 3. Blacksmithing Tours
Learn about a Blacksmith’s role in society both past and present at the Village Blacksmith. You will laugh, you will learn, and you will appreciate how our craftsmen use ancient techniques, old tooling and modern technology to create amazing products, made right in front of you! For groups of 4, customized group tour packages are offered that include Lunch, Dinner, and a dessert stop all inclusive.

8. Outdoor Concerts
Gloucester County Parks, Recreation and Tourism’s popular Concerts on the Green Series bring a combination of eclectic live music and laid-back fun to the Gloucester Village. The series runs Wednesdays 6:00 to 7:00 pm through September. Concerts are held in the Colonial Court Circle, offering green space replete with historic buildings including the Debtors Prison, Clayton Building, Roane Building, Jail and Colonial Courthouse. Admission is free and attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket (no seating provided) and even a picnic.

10. Comic Con
The Gloucester County Public Library’s largest event, Comic Con returns on August 12, 10am-2pm. Expect a day filled with Costumes, Workshops, Activities, Prizes, Food and more!
