Gloucester congratulates our local winners of the Virginia Living Magazine’s 2017 Best of Eastern Region businesses.

* Winner of the “Best Asian Restaurant” was awarded to Bangkok Noi Thai Cuisine and Sushi on Main located at 6724 Main Street.
* Third place in “Best Barbecue Restaurant” was awarded to Scoot’s BBQ, Gloucester Point located at 2091 George Washington Memorial Highway in Gloucester Point.
* Second place in “Best Local Gourmet Grocery Store” was awarded to Kelsick Specialty Market located at 6632 Main Street.
* Short Lane Ice Cream located at 6721 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester Courthouse received third place in the “Best Local Ice Cream Shop” category.
* Juan’s Mexican Café and Cantina located at 2310 George Washington Memorial Highway in Hayes was the winner of the “Best Mexican Restaurant”.
* Winner of the “Best Day Spa” was awarded to Bridgewaters Salon and Spa located at 6661 Hickory Fork Road, Suite E. in Hayes.
* Winner of the “Best Hair Salon” was awarded to Bridgewaters Salon and Spa located at 6661 Hickory Fork Road, Suite E. in Hayes.
* Third place in “Best Independent School” was awarded to Ware Academy located at 7936 John Clayton Memorial Highway.
* Second place in the “Best Pet Boarding” was awarded to Sandy Creek Pet Resort located at 9689 Burkes Pond Road.
* Tidewater Physical Therapy (Pivot Physical Therapy) located at, 6970 Fox Hunt Lane won second place in “Best Physical Therapy Group”.
* Second place in “Best Veterinary Hospital” was awarded to Gloucester Veterinary Hospital located at 6666 George Washington Memorial Highway.
* Winner in “Best Italian Restaurant” was awarded to Tony & Milena’s Pizzeria, Inc. located at 2364 George Washington Memorial Highway in Hayes.
* Third place in “Best Wine Shop” was awarded to Kelsick Specialty Market located at 6632 Main Street.
* Third place in the category of “Best Bridal Boutique” was awarded to the Bridal Boutique of Gloucester located at 4435 George Washington Memorial Highway in Hayes.
* Bridgewater’s Salon & Spa located at 6661 Hickory Fork Road Ste E. Hayes received third place in the category of “Best Men’s Haircut”.
* Third Place in the “Best Fishing Guide Company” was awarded to Bay Fly Fishing at Bayfllyfishing.com and telephone number 804-815-4895.

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors and the Gloucester County Economic Development Authority would like to congratulate local winners of this year’s Virginia Living Magazine’s best of Eastern Virginia awards. In the highly competitive Eastern Region of Virginia, which includes all of Hampton Roads, Gloucester businesses garnered awards in 16 different categories. Considering that most of the Eastern Region has a larger population than Gloucester, Gloucester has competed amazingly well.
