The Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad (GVFRS) will conduct an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course starting in January 2015. The Emergency Medical Technician Course prepares the student to obtain National Registry and Virginia certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. The course is scheduled to begin on February 10, 2015. The class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM, and some Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. There will be a mandatory CPR Class for all EMT-B Students on January 29, 2015 from 6pm to 10pm. Cost for the class will be $400.00. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, students who apply for and are accepted for membership in GVFRS will be refunded the cost of the course. The class will be held at GVFRS Station 1, 6595 Main Street, Gloucester. Questions about this class can be directed to emstraining@gvfrs.org
