Enhancing your LinkedIn profile and how to make the most of the social media tool is the topic of one-on-one meetings with experienced professionals on April 16 at Consociate Media.
Participants will receive a professional portrait headshot from Sara Harris Photography at the “Get Social Portraits & Profiles” event from 9 a.m. to noon at Consociate Media on Main Street in the Gloucester Village. In addition, Consociate Media Founder Stephanie Heinatz will offer an evaluation of your LinkedIn profile and provide tips on improving it in personal appointments.
The first step to enhancing any LinkedIn profile, Heinatz said, is ensuring “your professional portrait reflects your brand. We’re thrilled to partner with Sara Harris Photography for this event.”
Enhancing your LinkedIn profile is a boost to your professional brand and augments your first impression to people. It’s also an opportunity to show them what you can do.
“Often, in business today, the first impression we make with people is online,” Heinatz said.
Heinatz offers a number of tips to creating a compelling LinkedIn profile, including connecting only with people you’ve met face to face, or conducted business together in person or over the phone, or with people who provide you an overwhelming reason why.
“Just like web sites, we encourage people to always use keywords in their profiles,” Heinatz said. “When people search for professional services, they search with keywords. The more keywords you include, the more likely your profile will be viewed.”
People who are active participants on LinkedIn get four times as many profile views.
Sessions for the Get Social: Portraits and Profiles event at Consociate Media are being offered at $50. They are limited and by appointment only.
