Come get your blues on! Saturday, October 6 is the date for Main Street Blues and Brews, Gloucester Main Street Association’s annual blues and beer festival. Blues and Brews has become our most popular – and biggest – annual event. Five great blues bands, 30 handcrafted microbrews, special dishes from Main Street restaurants, and a great location right in the Court House are the right recipe for a fantastic fall day. In its third year, Blues and Brews has already become a tradition; last year the event drew over 1,000 people from as far north as Washington, DCand south to the Outer Banks. GMSA’s event committee has got it going on already with big plans in the works for a full day of hometown fun. Right now we’re looking for some additional sponsors to be part of the mix of businesses and community partners who bring Blues and Brews to the downtown each year. This successful event allows GMSA to present a number of free events during the year and also helps us promote downtown businesses.
