The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce is proud to host a special event for the Business and Non-Profit Community, entitled “Business Emergency Preparedness” on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 from 8:30am-11:00am, at the Main Street Conference and Event Center.

Emergency Preparedness

This Business Breakfast is a collaborative effort with the Gloucester County Emergency Management Department, and aims to provide an opportunity for local business leaders to have access to the best information, share their knowledge, and leave with a better plan for their individual businesses and organizations.  The event includes an interactive panel discussion, Q&A, as well as an opportunity for the audience to discuss what their business or organization “brings to the table” in an emergency.

The dynamic panel will include representatives from: Gloucester County Emergency Management Department, Dominion Virginia Power, Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office, VDOT, John Phillips of Phillips Energy, Inc. and Tim Ryan of  Virginia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Technology, Business & Innovation Center (TBIC). The panelists will discuss their protocols and continuity plans, as well as their experiences and lessons they have learned.

The Emergency Management Department will provide relevant information, handouts, and exercises for all participants to engage in.

The audience will be comprised of local business owners, leaders and professionals, in the community.

Space is limited, and registration is required, so please register ASAP on our website at www.gloucestervachamber.org.  This event is free to the Business Community, and a light breakfast will be served at 8:30am. Panel begins at 9:00am.

GCCC would like to thank our Sponsors: Phillips Energy, Inc., Gloucester Mathews Gazette Journal, Waste Management, Chick-Fil-A, Main Street Preservation Trust and Gloucester Main Street Association.
