Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. took delivery of a new John Deere Gator on June 13, 2014.

Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue

The gator is equipped with a water tank, fire pump, and hose that can be used to extinguish brush fires in areas that are inaccessib…le by other vehicles. It also has the capability to transport a patient out of an area with limited access. The gator was purchased using Aid to Localities funds, which GVFRS receives each year from the Virginia Department of Fire Programs to assist in the purchase of fire equipment.
