In recent weeks Lee Hy Paving has been working on a road rehabilitation project for VDOT. This project includes milling off the old surface, installing new asphalt, and placing traffic markings.

Due to traffic concerns this work has been taking place at night. We understand that this is not a perfect solution due to the noise, construction traffic, and the No Parking after 8:00 p.m. Construction on this entire stretch of road is time consuming due to water valves, changes in lane widths, parking cut outs, intersections, the “Circle”, etc. Rest assured Lee Hy is committed to getting this work done quickly and safely. With the present weather forecast it is hard to give a hard schedule on when the paving through town will be finished. There will be NO WORK Friday night or Saturday night (Oct. 30^th and Oct. 31^st) due to planned activities in town related to Halloween weekend. Hopefully paving in the town area will be completed by Friday morning Nov. 6^th, with paving then moving over to the bypass area.
