Phillips Energy will welcome the long awaited, and warmer, spring and summer season with a community open house at their Hayes location in southern Gloucester, Va. on May 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We think we speak for everyone when we say we’re ready to warm up and get outside to grill, boat and garden,” said Elizabeth McCormick, Vice President of Phillips Energy. “This winter has been a harsh one, so what better way to welcome spring than with a party?”

The Phillips Energy team will have their grills going for hotdogs for lunch and cooking demos featuring local celebrity chefs.

A bounce house will be on site for kids, corn hole, the newly renovated showroom will be open, the 2014 line of propane grills and accessories will be on display and team members will be available to talk about marine fuels, alternative fuels and energy needs for homes and businesses.

“Five years ago, we renovated the fuel station in Hayes,” McCormick said. “We appreciated the community’s support during that muddy endeavor and the support of our customers during the second phase of our renovations – the remodel of the Hayes showroom. We’re excited to show it off at the open house.”

Phillips Energy also renovated its Mathews office to enhance the propane appliance displays there.
