Graduates hired by Riverside are eligible for sign-on bonuses and up to $2,000 in incentive and retention awards.

Some people try to make changes in their life with New Year’s resolutions. Riverside Health System is providing an opportunity to do a lot more this spring – and offering lucrative financial incentives to boot. Certified Nurse Aide class sessions are being offered beginning April 9 and June 4 at the Riverside College of Health Careers training campus in Gloucester. The six-week sessions will be held Mondays through Fridays from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (hours may vary). Occasional evening and weekend hours may also be required.

Applications for the April 9 session must be received by March 16. For the June 4 session, applications are due by April 27. Sign-on bonuses are available for qualified students, and graduates may be eligible for up to $2,000 in incentive/retention awards.

Graduates will be considered for employment as an integral part of the Riverside care team, providing basic care and assisting people with day-to-day activities. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, Nurse Aides are counted on to provide quality care to patients, residents, clients and customers of all ages in a variety of settings including private homes, assisted living, hospice, hospitals, and community-based long-term care facilities.

Riverside’s Nurse Aide courses are accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and certified by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV).
