Do your children want to see what it’s like to be part of a hospital team? Perhaps they want to learn about x-rays, EMS, suturing, trauma and more!
Children ages 9 to 12 are invited to spend the day at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital (Tuesday, July 24 from 8 am to 5 pm) to learn more about what the team members there do to take care of the patients in our community.
The 2018 Career Camp day of activities will include:
-Talking with health care professionals to learn more about their job.
-Learning the signs and symptoms of a heart attack.
-Learning the signs and symptoms of a stroke.
-Exploring an operating room.
-Learning first aid and splinting.
-Seeing a Life Evac helicopter fly.
Pre-registration is required by June 29. Limited seats available.
Registration fee is $40. Snacks and lunch will be provided.
