Tidewater Physical Therapy and its Performance Center in Gloucester is pleased to announce it will present a Runners’ Series early next year on Saturdays from Jan. 10 through Feb. 7. The series hits just in time for Middle Peninsula athletes to prepare for 2015 road races being held throughout the region.

The Tidewater Physical Therapy Gloucester Courthouse Clinic and Performance Center offers comprehensive physical therapy services, as well as personal and sports performance training to adults and athletes of all ages.

The series has been thoughtfully designed by both physical therapy clinicians and performance trainers / coaches specifically for runners, addressing injury prevention, training needs, gear and mechanics.

For $40 for the entire series, or $10 to drop in on specific classes, physical therapists and trainer / coaches will lead participants in a lecture and workout combination from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. All classes will be held in the Tidewater Performance Center in Gloucester, located in the same building at the Tidewater Physical Therapy Courthouse Clinic at 6970 Fox Hunt Lane just off of Main Street.

17—Running Mechanics and Speed Training with Katie Allen, MS Exercise Science, CSCS
31—Injury Prevention for Runners with Natalie Conway, PT, MPT, OCS, ATC
7—Shoes, Training Devices and Other Tips for Success with Karen Kovacs, PT, MPT, OCS
