Coming up on June 27th is The Fairfield Foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year. The 2015 fundraiser will be held at Toddsbury- one of Gloucester’s most historic estates along the tranquil shores of the North River. This event, from 6 to 8 p.m. will feature archaeology displays, delectable food, period dancing, and limited tours of the house. Guests will have the opportunity to roam the grounds and speak with Fairfield Foundation board members, staff and volunteers about the amazing projects we have across the Middle Peninsula. We are still looking for sponsors to help undertake this event and raise money for Fairfield’s archaeology, preservation, and education mission. If you are interested in sponsoring, we would be happy to talk with you and send you a sponsorship kit highlighting the various support levels. Please become a sponsor of the Fairfield Foundation’s 2015 Historic House Party today! Please contact Tom Karow at 804/694-7216 if you have questions regarding the event and sponsorship.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting the Fairfield Foundation’s mission and our new Center for Archaeology, Preservation, and Education (the CAPE!). The gateway to Gloucester’s Main Street, and one of the area’s most recognizable landmarks, this 1931 service station will soon be re-born into a classroom, laboratory, archive, and research center for the benefit of school children, local residents, community groups, private companies and individuals like you. The Fairfield Foundation brings innovative and exciting programs to all corners of the Middle Peninsula, allowing students, parents, civic groups, and volunteers of all ages to celebrate, study and preserve the past. Your support and attendance will demonstrate your commitment to our ongoing educational activities that help all of us preserve our shared heritage. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, please email us at fairfield@fairfieldfoundation.org. Tickets are $75 per person. Visit The Fairfield Foundation on Facebook and follow us on Twitter!
