Gloucester Arts on Main: First Friday – Exploring the Third Dimension
A multi-media sculptural exhibition featuring works in metal, wood, ceramic, leather and more. Meet the Artists, including John Latell, George Cramer (The Village Blacksmith) and Warren Dorer.
Reception Friday, August 4th from 6 – 8pm

John Latell, known for his impressive ironwork flower sculptures, pours his diverse experiences of rural Virginia, the Canadian Rockies, Mexico, Ecuador and Costa Rica into the creation of his magnificent sculptures.
George Kramer is Gloucester’s very own Village Blacksmith, bringing old world craftsmanship back to the heart of the community.
Warren Dorer, a native of Long Island, NY who lives in Hampton Roads, is a familiar face around Arts on Main. Warren creates functional leather art, often combining leather with other materials.

Goof Life Kitchen: Comic Con is coming to Gloucester August 12! Join us Friday as we start the fun with Super Hero rock painting for the kids and learn about what foods fuel your inner Super Hero! 5-7pm
The Nurtury: All you want to know about essential oils (debunking marketing myths as well) and a ‘scent bar’ where you can create (for health or pleasure) your own body/room/fabric spray and rollerball oil to take with you! Stewart Gallery: First Friday reception at Stewart Gallery will celebrate the opening of a new exhibit: “Local Scenes Through the Eyes of Local Artists.” We will showcase the work of artists such as Lawrence Hollingsworth of Gloucester, among others. The paintings are mostly oil on canvas and depict scenes around the Middle Peninsula and Tidewater Region. Join us for wine, hors d’oeuvres, and conversations with the artists!
Gloucester Rocks Main: Come out for our First Friday and search for Gloucester business rocks. Families are invited to hashtag the rock you find then turn it in at Sweet Tooth Cafe & Bakery for a gift from your business or “Gloucester Rocks” swag.

-Turn in your rock at Sweet Tooth Cafe & Bakery for a gift.
