The Ware Academy Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society concluded its year with the induction of twelve new members on May 13th.  These students have demonstrated the five qualities that are held in high esteem by the organization:  scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. “National Junior Honor Society members are chosen for and then expected to continue their exemplary contributions to the school and community,” said Kimberly Croxton, chapter advisor.

The National Junior Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for middle level students.  Chapters exist in more than 60 percent of the nation’s middle schools, and since 1929, millions of students have been selected for membership.  NJHS is sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, which also sponsors the National Honor Society at the high school level.

Newly inducted members of the NJHS include : Grace Bandurco, Alexander Brown, Ian Cameron, Cody Carnes, Alessandra DeMet, Trinity Foster,  Zachary Hendrix, Katie Hunter, Russell McMurtrie, Louise Strawn, Nevaeh Washington and Marie Wilson.
